Yvonne Hattie Jemison

Yvonne Hattie Jemison affectionately known as “Hattie” was born February 4, 1980, in
Chicago, Illinois to Adell Jemison (Mother) and the late Michael Heath (Father) who preceded
her in death. She was the eldest of nine children.
She attended Elementary school in Chicago, IL, she attended High School in Evanston, IL, and
later studied Criminal Justice at Olive Harvey Community College. Hattie worked as a Customer
Service Representative with UPS in 2011.
“Hattie” attended church at Oakdale Covenant Church in Chicago, IL under the late Reverend
Willie B. Jemison.
Hattie was a very joyous and loving person. She was an adored big sister and loving auntie to
her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed partying, videos games, music, sports which she was a
dedicated Chicago Bears Fan. But most of all she loved spending quality time with her family
and friends.
Hattie was called home on April 18, 2022. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her Mother
Adell Jemison, five brothers, John, Christopher, De’Andre, Devante, and Mark, three sisters
La’Keisha, Gwendolyn and Tiarra, five nieces Khia, Cyonna, Syniah, Teyana, Nylah and six
nephews KeShawn, DeShawn, Keyon, DeAndre Jr, Dillion, Davonte Jr. Three Uncles, Donald,
Darnell, and Ronald. One Auntie Carolyn, and several cousins. Her God Mother Gwendolyn
Hinton and God Son Donald McNary and a special friend Robert ”Rob” Evans.
