William Allen Burnett Jr.

William Allen Burnett Jr., son of JoAnne Yates and William  Allen Burnett Sr. was born April 2,1981 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  He attended Indianapolis Public Schools and received his High School Diploma and Associate's Degree in Business in Pendleton, Indiana.

William overcame so many obstacles and was always determined to succeed.  He began his driving career at Indygo Transit where he obtained his CDL.  He started two transportation companies CTC Transportation and BSBD 'BrookSide Big Dawg' Trucking all while working at Republic Trash Services. 

William will be remembered as a loving, strong minded, hard working, determined, ambitious hustler, son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend.   He loved to spend time with family, traveling, and eating good food.  He absolutely loved laughing and playing with the kids.  He marched to his own tune.  

William was called to celebrate with Jesus on April 19, 2021, at the age of 40 years and 17 days old.  He was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Stanford Owens-Yates and Richmond Burnett; grandmothers: Jacqueline Rose Robinson and Mary Burnett; aunt: Ruby Robinson and uncle: Ed Ball.

William leaves to cherish his memory his mother: JoAnn Yates; his father: William Burnett Sr; his four children: William, Jaylen, Ky'reem, Ye'veah; four brothers: Octavius Smith I, Tazzy, Marcus, and Kareem; five sisters: Ramonda, Tremaine, Evonne, Chenitta and Mary and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
