Walter James Oliver II was born on July 25, 1963, in Gary, IN, to Walter I and Bernice Oliver. He graduated from Lew Wallace High School in 1981 and graduated with an associate's degree from Ivy Tech in 2014 and IUPUI in 2017.
Walter served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a long time resident of Gary, IN, but later moved to Indianapolis, IN. He was a member of Universal Ministries Worldwide, under the leadership of Bishop Anthony Boyd. Walter had many jobs. His most recent were at Goodwill Commercial Services and Rawls Mortuary. Walter made many friends at both places and was always known to make people laugh. He was a food fanatic and especially loved chicken and ice cream. He always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, always trying to put a smile on their face. He believed laughter was the best medicine in life.
Walter departed from this earth, November 5, 2022, surrounded by his loving sisters and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Oliver I and Bernice Mullins-Oliver and his brother-in-law Charles Sims.

Hawkins of Gary, IN; nephews: Kory Graham of Gary, IN and Ira Thomas of Cary, NC; nieces: Promise Henry and Jamira Cunningham (aka “Mini Me”) of Cary, NC, Daveda Hawkins of Merrillville, IN and Trina Hawkins-Staten of Indianapolis, IN; Auntie: Bernice Thompson of Gary, IN; special friends: Elijah Neal Jr., Michael Woods, Lynette Bailey, ShaMorie Bailey, Antwon Smith, Ladonna Bell and Tori Vee (Noah) all of Indianapolis, IN and Logan and Serenity Wake of Kokomo, IN; his Universal Ministries Worldwide church family, coworkers and many relatives and friends from Gary and Merrillville, IN and Jacksonville, FL.
