Ulando, affectionately known as Tyrone to some and Pooda to his close family and childhood friends. Was born, July 18, 1966, to Bobbie Hodges and James Bell and was the 6th of 8 children.
Ulando was raised on the West side of Chicago and attended Rezin-Orr High School where he excelled in his education and played football. His passion for football was uncanny and he became a die-hard Chicago Bears Fan.
Ulando also graduated from Arthur Campbell College where he excelled in welding and drafting. He used these skills to help repair, and remodel homes, and churches, for friends, and family in both Illinois and Indiana.
Ulando was never too busy to lend a helping hand and he never thought a job was too great or small for him to handle. He was a jack of all trades and you could always find him helping anyone in need.
Ulando accepted Christ in his life as a teenager and rededicated his life in 2005. He became a deacon in 2012, at Refuge and Strength Church which was a very proud moment for him. He served faithfully in his position both there and Robinson Temple C.O.G.I.C where he was currently a member. In 2005 Ulando Married Ruby Fuller-Bell and together they helped serve the community as well as their churches. Through this ministry, Ulando helped start and fund "LOAVES & FISHES" which was a homeless outreach Ministry where he passed out food and clothing.
Ulando was preceded in death by his parents Bobbie Hodges and James Bell, and his (2) sisters, Regina Hodges and Deitra Watson. He leaves to cherish his memory; Ruby Fuller-Bell (wife), Children; Tameka Stokes, Ieshia Cannon (Terah Sr.), Rashaun Wilson, and Cory Ulando Irby Freeman, step-children; Alisha Fuller, and Michael Fuller (Elizabeth), (12) Grandchildren, (3) brothers, Darron Hodges (Judi), Gerald Watson, Deon Irby, (2) Sisters, Lorri Watson, and Tifernie Irby, and a host of loving Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, family, and friends.
