Truville Croom Myers "Tru"

Truville Croom-Myers was born on April 5, 1962, in Demopolis, Alabama to Virdine (Jones) Croom and Edward Croom Sr., who both preceded her in death.

She attended schools of Demopolis, Alabama before her family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1976. She attended Indianapolis Public School System (IPS) and she graduated from Arsenal Technical High School.

Tru, as she was affectionately known, loved to travel and stayed on the go. She loved spending time in Arizona, which is where she met her husband, Raymond Myers. She has always been a free spirit and she was very well known for her “spit it, before I forget it” mentality.

Tru was very fond of her family which was most important to her. Though she was the aunt, she was godmother to Ebony, Terrance, and Affice, and she stepped up for them when their parents passed. Her love for her family was beyond measure. She was excited about her role as a great-aunt, showering love on her great-nieces and nephews.

She departed this life on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the age of 59, after a very brief illness.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, Edward Croom, Jr. (Donna) and one sister, Shamika Croom. Nieces, Latrice Croom-Gloss (Curtis), Ebony Bass, Joniah Croom, Brooklyn Croom, Kennedy Croom, Tailor Croom, Savannah Stokes, Empress Johnson, LaMiya Preston, Ashanti Preston, Timara Turman, K'la Anderson-Croom and Destiny Turman. Nephews, Terrence Croom (Jazmin), Affice Johnson (Ashley), Demetrius Croom (Tisha), Terrence Croom Jr., Isaiah Stokes Jr., Jaxson Croom, Noah Croom and Jonathan Ransom. Aunts, Viola Croom and Sarah Croom, uncle, Henry Jones and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
