Terrence McLean Obituary

Terrence Cordell McLean (aka Werk or T) was born October 24, 1991, in Mission Viejo,
California. He resided in Orange County and San Diego County until the summer of 2000, when he
moved to Lafayette, Indiana. He died at 5:58 a.m. on April 22, 2022, surrounded by family and close
friends. He was a loving father, son, grandson, brother, uncle, and friend.
Even at a young age Terrence was interested in learning new things, which is something that
continued throughout his life, and he encouraged others to do the same. After he graduated from
Jefferson High School in 2009, he attended Vincennes University studying audio engineering.
He was an entrepreneur and a creative who enjoyed photography, videography, video editing,
writing, rapping, drawing, tattooing, and battle rapping. A man of many interests and many talents, he
was often discussing the next project while he was working on the current one.
He had a loving heart, protective soul, and was fiercely loyal. Terrence was always looking out
for the people that he loved and frequently checking in on them to make sure they were good. His
sense of humor and positive outlook on life was infectious and every day he strived to live his best life.
He never took life for granted and always told people that he loved them.
Although losing him has left a big void in the life of everyone who loved him, he would want us
all to celebrate the life that he lived and not mourn the life he lost. Terrence will forever be loved, and
he will never be forgotten by those whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his parents, Charles McLean of Sandusky, Ohio and Robin McLean of Westfield.
In addition to his parents, Terrence is survived by his siblings, Taryn Stencil of Arizona; Marcus McLean
(wife, Taylor) of Lafayette; Mason McLean (fiancée, Elizabeth Connelly) of Lafayette; Mariesa McLean of
Indianapolis; and Tevin McLean of Westfield. He leaves behind five children, Kameron McLean, Zahmir
McLean, Bella McLean, and Destined McLean of Lafayette and an unborn baby girl. Terrence was also
an Uncle to Aaliyah McLean, Madden McLean, Aria McLean, Lyla McLean, and Leon McLean.
