Ta Mara D. Smith was born June 17, 1958, in Kokomo, Indiana. She was the daughter of Howard and Addie Smith. Her early education included Willard Douglass and Bon Air Elementary before graduating from Haworth High School.
Ta Mara was employed at GM Marion where she was retired. She was also a member of The Fountain of Life Worship Center where the Pastor and founder is Bishop Charles E. Glenn.
Ta Mara was a member of the Naptown Riders M/C Kokomo, she loved music, dancing, singing, and definitely her motorcycles. Most of all she loved spending time with her sister, family and friends.
Ta Mara D. Smith departed this life on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at HARBOR HOSPICE at the age of 63. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Addie Smith, two sisters, LaVonda and DaMita Smith, her grandparents, seven aunts and six uncles.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Terrance (Ti) Smith of Kokomo, Indiana, brothers, Howard (Betty) Smith and Jewel Perkin of Kokomo, Indiana. Sisters, Nerissa Gibson and Edie Small of Kokomo, Indiana. Uncle, Robert (Diana) Reed of Kokomo, Indiana. Aunts, Ceril Sringer , Enestina Tranell of Kokomo, Indiana and Wing Ligon Philippine. Her grandchildren, Ty’Mon Davis, De’Mon Davis, Star’Arya Davis, T’Kyha Smith and Taunna Smith. Also, her nephews, Grant Small, Travis Smith, Terral Smith, Terence Catlett of Kokomo, Indiana. Her nieces, Tameka Smith, Alexis Perkins and Amber Perkins of Kokomo, Indiana. Her special friends, Murphy (Fast Black) Smith, Terri Lynn Washington, Connie Cart and her god brothers, Greg Withers and Ed Clark and a host of family and friends. She loved her community also and was an Angel to all of Kokomo and will be missed.
