Robin Johnson Obituary

Robin Ann Nevels-Johnson was born May 23,1963 to Ernest and Addie (Bea) Nevels. She was the fifth of six siblings. Robin accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. Fred Wilson of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of Love Fellowship Christian Church under the leadership of Bishop Sylvester Robinson until her passing.
After graduating high school in 1981, Robin dedicated over 20 years of her life to working in healthcare. She had a passion for caring for others and took great care of whomever she was tasked to help. She enjoyed cooking, singing, social media, and being with her grandbabies! Each day she would prepare her favorite meal and post pictures on Facebook for all her friends to admire. Robin also enjoyed decorating for the holidays, braiding hair, board games, and traveling when her children were young.
Robin was affectionately known as “Rockin’ Robin”.  Whenever her favorite song was played, she would grab a broom, hairbrush, or whatever she could to use as a microphone to sing her heart out! Everyone enjoyed Robin’s unique ability to “tell it like it is” especially while sharing a story.  Her favorite saying was “Momma always said”. One never had to make any assumptions on how she felt about anything because she would tell you exactly how she felt - good, bad or ugly - that’s how Rockin’ Robin rolled!
Of all the things she loved, nothing could compare to the love she had for her children and grandchildren.  She never missed a chance to spoil the grandchildren rotten. She loved them with all her heart.
Robin will be missed by all who knew her well!
Robin leaves to cherish her memories: children (daughter) Zakeya Johnson of Naperville, Ill, (son) ZaJuan Johnson of Marion, IN. Grandchildren: MaTeya Spears (Naperville, IL), ZaJuan Jr. (Fairmount IN), Brelexis, Zyonna, Zayvion and Xaivyn Johnson (Marion, IN).
Siblings:  Roni Nevels (Marion), Ray Nevels (Florida), Reggie (Vicki) Nevels (Marion), Terry Nevels (Marion). Best Friend Lori (Anthony) Bobson, Special Friends: Zachary Johnson, Lori (Anthony) & Ann Burnett, and a very special friend Edward L. Hogan, all of Marion, IN., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
