Robert B. Barnett

Robert Benjamin Barnett (Bobby) was born on September 8th,1948 in Indianapolis, In, to Earnest R. Barnett and Frances S. Hollis-Barnett, Bobby was the 6th of ten children. He attended Indianapolis Public School #36 and Crispus Attucks High School. Bobby loved to play basketball, he played on both elementary and high school teams.

Bobby accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age. Through his love for the Lord, Bobby showed love and compassion to everyone. He was loved by all that he encountered. Bobby’s favorite pastime was watching westerns and war movies.

Bobby worked as a Material Handler at United Parcel Service for some time, before joining the family business as a Painter along with his Father and Brothers. Bobby worked as a Painter until his retirement.

Bobby departed this life on January 4th,2022 to a long, hard fight against lung cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Frances Barnett, son Anthony C. Barnett, brother Ronald L. Barnett, and sister Barbara M. Barnett Holmes. Bobby leaves behind children Robin Robertson (Marvin), Damon Barnett (Sylvia), Dawn (Yvette) Barnett-Graham (Willie), Shetona Hall (Arlondo), and Ashley Barnett-Brown (Tobias). Grand-Sons, Troy, Jajuan, JaRon, Aaron, Wesley, Arlondo, Ricky, Arland, Jordan, and Amari; Grand-daughters Joan, Joy, Janai, Jasmine, Ariaunna; 20 Great-Grand Children and 3 Great-Great Grand Children. Brothers Earnest Barnett Jr. (Christine), Kenneth Barnett (Glory), Roger Barnett, Reginald Barnett (Cynthia); Sisters Sandra Grayson, Roslyn McClendon (Curtis), and Helen Thompson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
