Richard Johnson was born to George Johnson and Essie Stovall in Indianapolis, IN on March 31, 1947. Richard attended the schools within the Indianapolis Public School System.
Richard was known to be a smooth man in the community. He was a pleasure to be around. Richard drove Dump Trucks for a number of years before his health caused him to no longer drive. Richard enjoyed spending time with family and loved watching “The Westerns”. Most of the time, her wore his western/Cowboy attire. Anyone would find him in a nice plaided print shirt, jeans, shiny cowboy boots, and an adjustable cap or wide cowboy brim.
Preceding Richard in death are his parents; George Johnson and Essie Stovall, and brother; Robert Johnson.
He leaves cherishing memories with his children; Natasha Alston (Paul), Yolanda Johnson, Richard Johnson Jr., and Ayanna Johnson, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sisters; Shirley Young, and Christie White (Isaac), one brother; Thomas Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
