Ray E. Jacobs

Ray E. Jacobs passed on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022 at noon. He was born Jan. 12, 1945 in Portland, Oregon. He attended New Orleans Public School. Mr. Jacobs met the love of his life in New Orleans. On July 28, 1979 he married her (Easter Jacobs). He was a member of Wayman AME church and a retired janitorial worker.

Ray accepted Christ into his life at a early age. Ray loved and thanked the Lord everyday he seen another day. Ray loved to cook but most of all he loved all his family. He enjoyed his life and cared for anyone who came into his life. He was the most loving and caring father, brother, friend, grandfather , great grandfather and great great grandfather one could have .

He is survived by his children Quinsandra (Wanda) Jones, Ray Jones and Perry Jones. His grandchildren Desiray (Antonio) , Sharray , Raynisha, Rayvionna, Brandon and Bernard. His great-grandchildren Rayshone, Rayneal, Deronna, Drayshone, Nahshone and Termayne. His great great-grandchild Kah'Lani and his God children Lonnie Hall, Darren Lasser and Yvette Washington. His two brothers Voycell and Troy Jacobs and four sisters Carolyn Jacobs, Betty Joseph, Arcola Sutton and Jeannette Hamilton.

Preceded in his death is his wife Easter Jacobs, parents Juanita and Voycell Sr.
