Paul Summers Obituary

Paul Fredrick Summers, also known as Freddie, was born July 10, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, through the union of Paul and Wilma Summers. Freddie attended Elementary School #26 and Elementary school #37. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School.  Freddie married Bobbie Porter in 1968, and from that union they had 3 sons.  He became a Marine in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. Freddie and Bobbie divorced in 1988.  Freddie remarried Lynteen Porter in 2012.

Freddie worked at AMG Motors for over 10 years.  He worked at the Reebok Shirt Factory and the Fairfield Inn Motel. Freddie was a member of the Kentucky Gunslinger Motor Cycle Club. His oldest brother, Duane, started the Panther Motor Cycle Club, which Freddie joined and later became the president. His name in the motor cycle club was “Fast Freddie”.  Freddie enjoyed  telling Google “play the old school blues”.  He would sing along with every song and he knew all the words. He loved watching sports and scary movies.

Our hearts were deeply saddened  on December 19, 2021, when Freddie, at the age of 72, had his life cut short, due to multiple illnesses. Freddie was preceded  in death by his parents: Paul Edward Summers and Wilma Perkins, two children: Darrick Summers, and David Summers, four brothers: Duane Wilcoxson, Gregory Summers, Darrell Perkins, and Gerald Perkins.

Freddie leaves to cherish his memory, his two sons: Paul Fredrick Summers, Jr. and Michael Parrot, his brother: Lamont Perkins, his sisters: Fostina Summers, Pamela Woods, Laverne Perkins, Jackie Summers, Frances Summers, stepmother: Annetta Summers, seven grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and host of extended family and friends, special friend: Laura, AKA, “Fast Lady” was a lifelong friend and also a member of both the Kentucky Gunslinger Motorcycle Club and the Panthers Motorcycle Club.
