Sister Lucille Day was born February 13,1948 in Indianapolis, IN to Camilla Anderson and Cuby Jackson.
Lucille attended Harry E. Wood High School, where she met James B. Day. They were married from 1965 to 1990. Their union was blessed with four children, Lucille accepted the other daughter.
Lucille accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member at Grace Missionary Baptist Church, despite her illness, she would go when she felt up to it.
Lucille Loved spending time with family and friends. Lucille Loved listening to blues and gospel music. Lucille also Loved to cook and would cook for anybody. She even cooked for her neighbors in her apartment building.
Lucille fought a good fight despite her illness. Lucille said she was claiming 110 years old but unfortunately God saw different.Lucille had a loving spirit. Lucille Loved Life!
Lucille was called into the Kingdom on January 13, 2022, at the age of 73 years old. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents: Cuby and Camilla Anderson, her brothers: Leslie Jackson and Cuby Jackson Jr, her son: James Day Jr and granddaughter: Michelle.
Lucille leaves to cherish her memories, her three daughters: Martisha L. Jones (Jerry), Shondell M. Day (Debbie) and Demetria Day; daughter-in-law: Rosie Day, siblings: Robert Jackson, Russell Jackson, Rose Jackson & Darlene Wesley; grandchildren: Jerry Jones, Alana Jones, Alicia Jones, Brandon Beasley, James Day Jr, Shawnika Lane’ Rawls, Andy D. Day, Trei Day, Marcus Day, Tre’zure Day and Tynder Hunter; eighteen great-grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
