Leroy DeJournett Jr.

Leroy DeJournett Jr. was born to Leroy DeJounett Sr. and Sheila Ann DeJounett in Indianapolis, IN on June 7, 1968. Leroy graduated from Howe Highschool in 1985. He was the oldest out of three children.

Leroy served in the army from July 10, 1986, to July 9, 1989, as a Front-line Medical Specialist. He was honorably discharged. He worked in management at Kroger for 20 years and later attended Martin University where he met his wife of 17 years, Jacqueline DeJournett Muhammad. Leroy had an infectious laugh and a smile that lit up the whole room. He touched the hearts and souls of everyone that he met. He gave even when he didn't have. Leroy passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022. He was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents: Leroy Price Sr. and Johnnie Thomas, his maternal grandparents Clarence and Bernice Green, as well as his mother Sheila Ann DeJournett.

He leaves to cherish his memory: His father: Leroy DeJounett Sr., wife: Jacqueline DeJournett Muhammad, siblings: Rhonda Bradshaw (Candi DeJournett) and Urlanda Markette Smith; children: Rahin Robinson (Erika Robinson), Lerron DeJounett-Luther (Jasmine DeJournett-Luther) and Devyn DeJournett; step-children: Aisha Bledsoe, Milano Johnson and Jabril Johnson; grandchildren: Tae'Quann Bou, Alena Robinson, Isabella Robinson, Sofia Robinson; Thomas Clark Jr., Aidan Clark; Ziara Crawford, Niyla Crawford and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
