LaJuana Jean Beamon

Lajuana Jean Beamon , daughter of Martha Haynes and George grooms , was born may 27 th 1949 at
Wishard memorial hospital She graduated from Shortridge high school in 1966 , she went on to pursue
cosmetology where she became a beauty instructor. She could make anyone look better. In her words
she was “master of all trades and a master of none.” She had degrees in Computer Programming,
Journalism and Child development because she wanted to take professionally take care of her
grandchildren.
Lajuana was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother as well as a loving sister, aunt,
and cousin. She enjoyed writing, singing, music, dancing, and spending quality time with her family. She
loved Playing bat mitten having Sunday dinners bowling and skating. A few things she would never share
were her white castles, her pickles, and her Pepsi was off limits, so do not ask. Lajuana loved to stand
out as different unapologetically.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her adoring mother Martha Haynes and her
beautiful daughter’s Kelly Phillips (Andrew) , Dawnn Beamon (rabbit), Stephanie Estes (Dustin)and Luana
Mundy. Survived by her sisters Cynthia Hardiman and Janet Markey grooms. and her recently deceased
baby brother cortez grooms. Her grandchildren Lasha Jennings, Shamilah Jermison, Melvin Jermison,
Deoni Beamon, Marcus Johnson , Shamar Johnson , Markel Johnson , Deondre beamon jejuan mundy ,
reshaun mundy, jarren mundy , William estes , Gabriel estes and her adorable great grandchildren a
host of family and so many friends.
