Jovan D. (" Donnie") Barker-Douthitt

A Brief Sketch of the life of;

Jovan Donta Barker-Douthitt, affectionately known to many as “Donnie” was born July 8, 1976, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jovan attended Indianapolis Public Schools and Arsenal Tech High School.

Jovan confessed a belief in Jesus Christ, that he was the son of God, and that he died for the sins of the world. She identified her faith through the beliefs of Jehovah Witness and studied to show herself approved.

Jovan was loved by all of her family and friends for her funny sense of humor, she would always check on her children and grandchildren”. She had a deep love and respect for her mother and grandmother whom she loved dearly. "Donnie" as we called her, found the love of her life and was married on May 24, 2021, to Artesia (Art) Douthitt

Jovan Donta Barker-Douthitt transitioned from earth to Glory on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the age of 45 years, and 6 months. Her father Rodney (Tyboo) Barker and grandmother Arnetta Finkton preceded her in death.

Jovan leaves to cherish her memories, Mother Joann Finkton, Husband Artesia (Art) Douthitt, Brother Donvito (Poli) Arnold, Sister Tiara Finkton, Daughters Dynasty Barker, Anastasha Barker, Cierra Barker, Giovanni Barker. Seven grandchildren London, Kylian, De’Moni, Eli, Rozay, Robert, and Lyla Ann. And a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, other relatives, and friends.
