Frances Rutledge was born November 22, 1949. The daughter of Rubin and Ida Mae Martin Jones in Marion, Alabama. Frances moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1953 along with her mother and family. At the age of 10, Frances was raised, loved, and nurtured until adulthood by her beloved sister Catherine as one of her own. Frances attended elementary school IPS 37 and Arsenal Technical High School.
Frances was employed for many years as a Healthcare Certified Cook. She loved to cook and was known as an excellent cook. She loved being around family and loved playing cards and dominos. Frances loved music, and you could always find her cleaning. Above all Frances knew and loved the Lord. Frances enjoyed entertaining her friend and family, socializing and also playing at the Casino. She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Frances Rutledge departed this life on April 13, 2021 at the age of 71 years five months 22 days. Frances was preceded in death by her mother and father; her four brothers; Tommy, Albert, Willie,and O.C and two sisters: Janie and Willie Mae.
She leaves cherished memories to be remembered by her sons: Richard Knott( Belicia) of Washington DC and Sherard Rutledge of Indianapolis; daughters: Angela Howard(Carlos) and Anjeanette Rutledge both of Atlanta Georgia; her three grandsons: Anthony, Dominique and Aiden; four granddaughters: Chareda, Mauricia, Jonae, and Breana; 10 great-grandchildren: Tristan, Jazlyn, Jesiah, Maddison, Lauryn, Levi, Royce, Kardeair, Karter, and Anastasia; her last two siblings: brother: Shelby Hogue and sister: Catherine Rutledge and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
