Estella Coleman Obituary

Estella Yvonne Patterson Coleman was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Gladys and Henry Patterson on July 6, 1949, being the ninth of nine siblings. Estella was a graduate of Coon Rapids high school in 1967 and briefly attended the University of Minneapolis for about a year. Estella worked for Buy Black in Minneapolis after she graduated high school which was a non-profit organization to solicit people to buy from black businesses. Estella dated a couple of different Black Panthers before leaving Minnesota as well as touring with bands such as Ebony Rhythm funk Campaign.

Estella traveled to a few different states before making Indianapolis, Indiana her home in 1970. Estella worked as a bar maid at the End Crowd bar and lounge as well as a secretary for D-A lubricant. Estella gave birth to two daughters Shane Johnson in April of 1972 and Alicia Frias in January of 1978. Estella accepted Christ at a very young age and loved the Lord deeply with all her heart, mind, body, and soul! Estella was a very kind, generous, gentle, loving, honest, and very much classy woman. Estella enjoyed her family immensely. She loved to cook and feed others, gardening, shopping, decorating, watching the news with her husband and talking about current events, gangster movies, and documentaries. Estella also was a bit of a jokester at times but more importantly she loved to study, preach, and teach about Jesus. Estella accepted her calling as a prophet and founded her own church “Abundant Harvest Temple of Praise” in 1990, and soon after met her husband Darrell Coleman where they later married in January of 2001. Estella held church services in her home every Sunday and Wednesday as well as counseled those in need. Estella loved the Lord and would have church services from sunup to sundown just to be a blessing to others in more ways than one. Estella preached the word, taught the word, and fed many souls physically and spiritually. Estella was a true prophet of the Lord and praised the Lord until her last breath.

Estella was preceded in death by her parents William Henry Patterson and Gladys Marie Allen Patterson, sisters: Juanita Myers, Gloria Johnson, Annette Mahan and Theodora Patterson, and brothers: William Patterson, Arnold Patterson, Theodore Patterson, and Clarence Patterson.

Estella is survived in love by her (husband) Darrell Coleman, (daughters) Shane Johnson Hall and Alicia Frias, (grandchildren) Onya’ Alender, Terry Campbell Jr., Trae Johnson, and Jamichael Watts Jr., (great grandchildren) Trae’sure Lyle-Wilson, Ta’Ron Taylor, Erin Campbell, Rylee Morris, Kenzlee Campbell, and Jamichael Watts III. (Spiritual daughter) Alandra Penn, (spiritual son) DeWayne Davis, (spiritual sister) Joyce Footman, (spiritual assistant to the prophet) Alissa Taylor, and a host of adopted spiritual sisters, brothers, children, and grandchildren.
