Earnest McDowell

Earnest McDowell was born to Rosie and Clint McDowell on November 4, 1954, in Greenwood, Mississippi. He was the oldest of 6 siblings.

He did all his schooling in Greenwood, Mississippi. The family moved to Indianapolis November of 1972, where he joined the Noble Center Program of Training. He worked for Blocks Department Store until it shut down in 1987. He then went on to work at Indianapolis International Airport where he retired after 20 years.

He loved going to church and he was a member of many churches, and he went to everyone’s funeral.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosie McDowell and Clint McDowell Sr. and 2 brothers, Michael Anthony McDowell and Carl Dewan McDowell.

He is survived by siblings, Clint McDowell, Jr. (Juanda), Sandra McDowell Johnson and Vicky McDowell Edwards and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
