Obituary
Earl James Pittman Sr. passed away unexpectedly at the age of 64, May 16, 2022, in Indianapolis, IN.
He is survived by wife Elke; sons Delmon (Terry) and Earl Jr.; daughters Natasha and Anna; grandchildren Delmon Jr., Lee'asha, Dasani, Matthew, Anthony and Earl III; brother Willie Jr. (Lula); sisters Carolyn (Salaam) and Donna Jean; nephews Willie III, Willie IV, Marcus Jr. and nieces Lorretta (Scott), Rosemary, Shameka (David) and Nia. He is preceded in death by parents Willie and Jessie Pittman, his beloved uncle, Eddie B and step-son Gene.
Born August 29, 1957 in Indianapolis, he graduated from Emmerich Manual High School. Did you know Earl boxed and ran cross country? He joined the Army after graduating and served 5 years.
Earl was admired for cooking, especially barbecuing. "He could make a meal out of nothing", says Elke, and he truly enjoyed cooking for her. He loved listening to old school music, hanging out with his family and watching westerns.
Immediately after the viewing, Earl will be recognized for his service in the military.
We all loved Earl and will truly miss him. We take comfort in knowing he is at peace.
