Devyn Williams Obituary

Devyn "Dev" Marie Williams came into this world on June 7, 2003 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She is loved by her family and friends through her unexpected death on August 19, 2021.
Devyn was baptized at St. Thomas Aquinas Church and received her First Holy Communion and Sacrament of Reconciliation.  She attended St. Thomas Aquinas School and was awarded the Spirit of St. Thomas Award upon graduation which is a testament to the character of the lovely young woman whom we all adored.  Devyn loved her time at North Central High School where she developed wonderful friendships, participated in sports, and worked on the Yearbook where she enjoyed her role as editor-in-chief during her senior year.  Devyn was accepted to Indiana University Bloomington and was planning to pursue a career in health care beginning this Fall.
Devyn was a girls' girl.  Above all else she knew how to be a good friend - may we all learn from her how to be a good friend to others and how to be a support to our friends in their times of need.
Devyn is survived by her adoring parents, Dennis Lee Williams Jr. and Angela Marie Lacy (Paradise) of Indianapolis; her most loving and attentive brother, Aaron Dennis Williams of Indianapolis; her loving stepfather, John Joseph Lacy III, and stepbrother, John Joseph Lacy IV, of Noblesville; her doting grandparents John Collins Sr. and Marcia Denise Collins of South Bend, William Henry Paradise, Bernadette Marie Paradise of Indianapolis,  John "Jack" Joseph Lacy Sr. and Mary Ann "Annie" Lacy of Noblesville; her loving aunts and uncles Naomi Paradise of Indianapolis, Amie Paradise of Carmel, Matthew Paradise (Brittney) of Carmel, Travis Collins of Houston,  Justin "Juddy" Collins of South Bend; her cousins Coyer Paradise, William Glenn-Collins, Kaelin Paradise, Ashton Collins, Ayden Collins, Malakai Collins, and Benjamin Paradise.
We will be forever grateful to our village who helped us to raise our beautiful daughter for the past 18 years.  We could not have done it without you.  We are thankful for her host of friends that brought her joy every day of her life and for whom she brought joy as well.
May God bless you and keep you.  Until we meet again, Princess.

Face mask and social distances will be required.
