Damon was a true artist. He was trained to view images to freestyle draw. He had a natural eye for recreating images in the most impeccable way. Tat is one thing that his boys were always so impressed with, and one of them even being gifed with that talent to execute.
Damon always had a desire to start traveling more. He even took his frst plane ride with his boys in June 2021. He talked about that trip and was ecstatic about experiencing that “frst” with his boys. He even made a post on his Instagram, “So glad I got some time with these boys really learned a lot about them and about myself…”
Damon was an amazing listener and easy to talk to. He never met anyone that did not love him. He was down to earth, patient, and had a very meek and calm spirit. Although he was an introvert, he radiated a spirit of comfort to whoever he met. He lef an impact on whoever he encountered, and his absence will be felt tremendously.
Damon’s memory will be cherished by: his children, Taylor and Landon Spurlin; his mother, Sharon Nixon; his father, James Spurlin (Jewel); his brothers, James Calvin, Malik, and Shayne Spurlin; his grandmother, Alta Nixon; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
