Crystal Francine-Larae Wright made her dramatic debut December 23,1980 in Chicago, IL. Raised in Gary, IN, she attended Banneker Elementary School and later expressed her creative personality as a Drama Major at Emerson School for Visual and Performing Arts. Her energy and talent were stars both in the classroom and stage at EVPA. After graduating with her class of ’99, she made a huge impact at IU Bloomington-majoring in drama.
Crystal met Keith Woods in 2000 and together they gave birth to her most beautiful gift Cyncere-Destanee Woods in 2003.
Crystal began her journey in childhood education at Elka Learning Center in Gary, IN. And from there, her road to “The Director” manifested. She packed up Cyn and moved to Indianapolis, where she worked at Victory Academy and The Goddard School. She, of course made a huge impact but she craved more. At La Petite Academy, she was the Assistant Director that both staff and families adored. Her home was open to many kids you would think it was her own childcare! “The Director” role at Kindercare was her great career achievement.
CRYSTAL developed many loving relationships and connections with all her families serving them in the best way possible. Over the years, her love for children never changed and her heart only grew bigger. Crystal’s dream was to open her very own women’s shelter to help women in all services; obtain their GED, have her very own childcare facility, and develop housing for homeless women and children. Also, her aspiring dream was to publish a book devoted to helping women world-wide by writing about her own personal experiences and challenges. On her off days you can find Crystal shopping, writing poetry, attending social events, or helping raise all the children she invited into her home.
