Cierra Lachette Stovall

Cierra Lachette Stovall was born on August 13, 1993 to Michael J. Brown and Christie Stovall, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Cierra graduated Warren Central High School in 2012.She was then accepted to the Groups Scholars Program and embarked on her journey to Indiana University-Bloomington. With a heart for people and a passion for Community Service and Social Justice, Cierra served as a dedicated member of the Women of Color Leadership Institute, The Black Student Union, and the NationalPan-Hellenic Council during her time at Indiana University. Looking to nourish her entrepreneurial spirit she joined the Business Fraternity, Mu Beta Lamba in 2013. In 2014, she joined the Gamma Nu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, where she served as chapter president from 2015-2016. Cierra graduated from Indiana University in 2016 with a Bachelors in Nonprofit Management from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs. With a focus on her personal and spiritual growth she went on to become a founding member of Love Her League. She volunteered at numerous local non-profits and servicing her community.

However, Cierra’s biggest accomplishment was her Dedication and Love for Christ. She was a member of Living Water Fellowship Church, Pastors Steve and Kim Outlaw. She was not only a hearer of the Word of God, but a doer of the Word of God. Her faith was demonstrated with the acts of love she showed her family and friends. She had a heart for helping others and a smile that was contagious. 

Cierra “Ci-Ci” made her transition to Glory on July 29, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memory her Mommy: Christie Stovall-White, Pops: Rev. Isaac White, Dad: Michael J. Brown, Grandparents: James M. and Peggy A. Brown. Paul and Essie Mae Stovall (preceded in death). Siblings: Hosea Stovall (Cherele), Christopher Brown, Christina Makayla Brown, Brittany Morrow, Deionna Washington, Christie Washington, Bella Tarsitara, Isaac Detrun White, Ernest White, Chantel White and Ivyanna White, God-Parents: Pastor Tyrone and First Lady La Shauna Smith, God-Siblings: Christi, Asia, Andrea, Tynesha, Christopher and Carrington, Goddaughter: Trinity and special mentor: Rev. Damon Scott.
