Anthony "Tony" Dwayne Mitchell was bor on February 8, 1961 in Marion, IN to Leola and Rev. Ivory Mitchell.
Tony was known for his sense of humor, dedication to family, and his love for music. He worked as a caseworker for citizens with special needs for a number of years where he was praised for impeccable work ethic. He was deeply involved in gathering his friends and sharing the gospel with those he loved. He was a lover of bible studies and a good spiritual discussion. He was a light.
He enjoyed sings and writing his own songs, always eager to serenade his family and friends to show his love. He also had a love for nicknaming his loved ones and embracing them at every opportunity.
Tony leaves behind a legacy of love and faith, cherished by three brothers, Rev. Ivory Lee Mitchell of Brinkley, AR, Rev. Benjamin Ivory Mitchell Ill of Fort Wayne, IN, and Kenny Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; four sisters, Dr. Alta Faye Mitchell- Reagans (Bennie) of Sacramento, CA, June Mitchell Williams of Marion, IN, , Cynthia Mitchell Blackmon of Oakland, CA, and Velma Mays of Oklahoma City, OK; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother Leola Mitchell, his father Reverend Ivory Mitchell, sisters Mary Mitchell Mills and Jean Bremby, brothers Carl Mitchell, Reverend Larry D. Mitchell, and Michael Mitchell. His legacy lives with us forever. Later.
